data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"830\">This object is a <strong data-start=\"528\" data-end=\"574\">used terrace above the 1st floor<\/strong>, which simultaneously serve as <strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"647\">Roof area for the living spaces below<\/strong> serves.<br data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"657\" \/>The roof structure was designed as <strong data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"704\">Inversion roof<\/strong> Executed: A layer of gravel was placed on top of the existing bitumen waterproofing, and concrete slabs were laid on top of that as a terrace surface.<\/p><p data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"1128\">In the area of a room on the 1st floor, <strong data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"924\">Spotty dampness on ceiling and wall<\/strong> The use of the terrace on the 2nd floor remained unchanged \u2013 rainwater could still drain away through the joints of the slabs, the gravel layer and via the waterproofing to the roof drainage system.<\/p><p data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1375\">After opening up a limited area \u2013 by removing the slabs and gravel \u2013 the cause of the leak became apparent:<br data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1264\" \/><strong data-start=\"1264\" data-end=\"1374\">damaged connection areas at the parapet as well as several fine cracks in the existing bitumen waterproofing<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1377\" data-end=\"1676\">Since the building had recently changed ownership and <strong data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1517\">It was not known how many layers of the existing waterproofing were present.<\/strong>, A complete dismantling should be avoided if possible. The goal was a <strong data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1630\">targeted, safe repair<\/strong>, without removing the entire roof structure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5dcb407 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5dcb407\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"580\" data-end=\"856\">After exposing the affected area, the leak could be clearly located.<br data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"682\" \/>The damage was limited to the <strong data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"769\">Connection area of the seal to the parapet<\/strong> as well as on <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"855\">several fine cracks within the existing bitumen waterproofing system<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"917\">Basically, there were two renovation options to choose from:<\/p><p data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"1234\"><strong data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"934\">Option 1:<\/strong><br data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"937\" \/>Dismantling of the existing waterproofing in the affected area and reconstruction with bitumen sheets.<br data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1030\" \/>Since it was not known how many layers of waterproofing were already present, this solution would have meant a high workload, additional risks and unnecessary interventions in the existing roof structure.<\/p><p data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1542\"><strong data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1261\">Option 2 (selected):<\/strong><br data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1264\" \/>Targeted repair of damaged areas using liquid waterproofing.<br data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1343\" \/>Through the combination of liquid sealing and a <strong data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1446\">Reinforced with polyester geotextile 110 g\/m\u00b2<\/strong> The damaged area could be reliably repaired without removing the entire roof structure.<\/p><p data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1717\">This approach enabled a <strong data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1630\">technically safe and economical solution<\/strong>, which preserves the existing structure and limits the intervention to the necessary extent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7bb0a34 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7bb0a34\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div reinforcement<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b551a3 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"3b551a3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0c657eb e-grid e-con-full e-con e-child\" data-id=\"0c657eb\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-33a25df elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"33a25df\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"360\" data-end=\"613\">Due to the existing cracks, transitions and connections, a liquid sealant alone was not sufficient.<br data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"471\" \/>The roof surface required additional reinforcement to permanently absorb movements of the substrate and prevent new stress cracks.<\/p><p data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"1018\">Since this object is a <strong data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"691\">roof area not permanently used<\/strong> Since the material in question had increased mechanical load values, the use of a geotextile with elevated mechanical load values was not technically necessary.<br data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"809\" \/>Instead, a specific approach was taken. <strong data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"875\">Polyester geotextile (reinforcement fleece) with 110 g\/m\u00b2<\/strong> used, which fully meets the necessary requirements for reinforcement within the liquid waterproofing for this application.<\/p><p data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1291\">By choosing this material, it was possible to forgo a larger, more expensive reinforcement.<br data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1139\" \/><strong data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1291\">This enabled a noticeable cost saving for the client without compromising the quality, function or lifespan of the seal.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1629\">The fleece serves as a reinforcing layer within the waterproofing and ensures an even distribution of force over the entire surface.<br data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1431\" \/>The material used meets the relevant requirements. <strong data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1523\">DIN requirements for sealing systems<\/strong> and is designed for roof and terrace areas where the existing structure is to be preserved.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ee0c5c9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"ee0c5c9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" data-end=\"574\" \/>Before the sealing work began, the surface was cleaned and prepared for the subsequent repair to ensure secure adhesion of the sealant.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-40b1a1a e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"40b1a1a\"
