Polyester fleece 110 g/m² – roll 0.25 × 50 m reinforcing fleece for roof waterproofing
Polyester fleece, 110 g/m², in a 25 cm roll width, offers a greater safety margin compared to narrower reinforcing fleeces. Its larger overlap area on horizontal and vertical surfaces makes it ideal for demanding detail sealing and transitions on flat roofs.
The fleece is easy to process, dimensionally stable and tear-resistant, and ensures an even distribution of tension in liquid waterproofing, bitumen and PU systems.
Applications
- Waterproofing of internal and external corners with a larger overlap area
- Reinforcement of parapets and attics
- Transitions between horizontal and vertical surfaces
- Repair of cracks and damaged details
- Detailed waterproofing in areas subject to higher mechanical stress
Benefits at a glance
- Larger safety margin compared to 15 cm roll width
- Improved coverage of transitions and connections
- High tear resistance and dimensional stability
- Easy to cut and easy to process
- Efficient material use while providing greater waterproofing reliability
- Compatible with liquid waterproofing, bitumen and PU systems
- Certified quality according to DIN EN ISO 10319
Certified quality (iBMB MPA Braunschweig, test report no. 22188/2024)
The quality of this Reinforcing fleece was tested by an independent institute:
- Tensile strength (N/50 mm): lengthwise 152, crosswise 110
- Elongation at maximum tensile force (%): longitudinal 52.5 %, transverse 79.2 %
- Elongation at break (%): longitudinal 53.0 %, transverse 81.1 %
👉 These results confirm the excellent tear resistance and elasticity of the material. This makes our Polyester fleece 110 g/m² ideally suited for waterproofing applications subject to permanently high loads.
Technical data
- GSM: 110 g/m²
- Roll size: 0.25 × 50 m
- Colour: white
- Material: 100 % Polyester (PES)
- Application: Reinforcement of liquid waterproofing membranes
- Substrate: bitumen, PU, PMMA, liquid waterproofing
Practical examples
- Waterproofing of parapets subject to increased stress
- Renovation of transitions between roof surface and upstand
- Reinforcement of inside and outside corners on flat roofs
- Detailed sealing work on balconies and terraces
Instructions for use
- Clean the surface thoroughly and ensure it is dry and load-bearing.
- Embed the fleece into the fresh liquid waterproofing material and fully saturate it.
- Overlap strips by approximately 5–10 cm
- Carefully incorporate edges, corners and transitions
What width is suitable for my project?
-
15 cm roll width – ideal for transitions, internal and external corners, pipe penetrations and precise detail work.
-
25 cm roll width – ideal for larger connections, parapets and transitions with increased safety margin (current selection)
-
35 cm roll width– ideal for roof drains, gullies, fans, aerators and heavily stressed connection areas
-
50 cm roll width – Ideal for full-surface reinforcement of flat roofs, terraces, and usable roof areas. When applied over a large area, cracks, transitions, and detail areas are automatically reinforced.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
❓ Why should I choose 25 cm instead of 15 cm?
✅ The 25 cm roll width offers greater coverage on horizontal and vertical surfaces, thus providing a higher safety margin at connections and transitions.
❓ Can I also use the fleece with PU liquid waterproofing?
✅ Yes, it is compatible with bitumen, PU and other liquid waterproofing systems.. This Reinforcing fleece Works perfectly in all common systems.
❓ How wide should the overlap be?
✅ We recommend an overlap of 5–10 cm for a permanently secure seal.
❓ Do I need to cut the fleece?
✅ Yes, it can easily be cut to size with scissors or a cutter.
❓ Is the product UV-resistant?
✅ The fleece is intended for use within waterproofing systems. It should be covered in case of direct UV exposure.
❓ Can polyester fleece be used in sub-zero temperatures?
✅ Yes, the fleece itself can be used without any problems in sub-zero temperatures. It is important that the waterproofing material used (e.g. PU liquid waterproofing or bitumen) is also approved for low temperatures. In combination with frost-resistant materials, the fleece will function reliably even in winter.
❓ How should the polyester fleece be stored?
✅ Store the fleece in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and UV light. A covered, well-ventilated room is ideal. This will ensure the roll retains its shape and remains easy to work with.
❓ How long does the polyester fleece last in a waterproofing system?
✅ When installed correctly, the fleece ensures a durable and reliable seal. It reinforces the coating, distributes stress evenly, and prevents cracking – thus significantly extending the service life of the waterproofing system.
✅ With the 110 g/m² polyester fleece in a 25 cm roll width, you are choosing a balanced solution with an increased safety margin – ideal for professional detail waterproofing and durable flat-roof systems.
