Polyester fleece 110 g/m² – roll 0.35 × 50 m for complex roof details
The Polyester fleece 110 g/m², 35 cm wide, roll 0.35 x 50 m is a versatile reinforcing fleece for liquid waterproofing systems and is particularly suitable for Roof drains, gullies, roof vents, penetrations, and larger and more complex detail areas.
The 35 cm wide fleece membrane provides sufficient material to integrate components and transitions into the waterproofing over a larger area. This makes this variant particularly suitable for areas where a 15 or 25 cm roll is too narrow, but full-surface reinforcement with a 50 cm width is not required.
The polyester fleece is used in sealing systems with Liquid plastic, PU, PMMA and bitumen It is used. Embedded in the fresh sealant, it supports crack bridging and distributes stresses within the sealing system.
Applications
- Roof drains and gullies
- Roof ventilators and aerators
- Pipe and roof penetrations
- Larger connection and transition areas
- Transitions between roof surface and upstand
- Inside and outside corners with a larger reinforcement area
- Partial reinforcement during flat roof renovations
- Critical drainage and detail areas
Benefits at a glance
- 35 cm roll width for larger and more complex roof details
- Larger working area compared to 15 and 25 cm casters
- Especially suitable for drains, fans and penetrations.
- High tear resistance and good dimensional stability
- Can be flexibly cut to size and adapted to component geometries
- Suitable for liquid plastic, PU, PMMA and suitable bitumen systems
- Tested tensile and elongation properties
Tested material properties – iBMB MPA Braunschweig
The mechanical properties of the Polyester fleece 110 g/m² were tested by the iBMB MPA Braunschweig (test report no. 22188/2024).
Tensile test according to DIN EN ISO 10319:
- Tensile strength: longitudinal 152 N/50 mm, transverse 110 N/50 mm
- Elongation at maximum tensile force: longitudinal 52.5 %, transverse 79.2 %
- Elongation at break: longitudinal 53.0 %, transverse 81.1 %
The test results document the tensile and elongation properties of the material and confirm its mechanical properties as a reinforcement component for suitable sealing systems.

Practical examples
- Roof drains and gullies – for a larger-scale integration of the drainage area into the waterproofing.
- Roof ventilators and aerators – suitable for reinforcement around larger penetrations.
- Pipe penetrations – can be flexibly cut to size and adapted to different geometries.
- Transitions and upstands – for larger connection areas between horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Partial flat roof renovations – for targeted reinforcement of heavily stressed or damaged areas.
Instructions for use
- Prepare the substrate according to the specifications of the sealing system used.
- Apply the first layer of sealant evenly.
- Insert polyester fleece into the still fresh sealant
- Completely embed the fleece and saturate it with sealing material.
- Pay particular attention to ensuring wrinkle- and bubble-free processing, especially at drainage points and penetrations.
- Perform overlaps according to the specifications of the respective system manufacturer.
- Then completely recoat with the intended topcoat.
What width is suitable for my project?
-
15 cm roll width – for cracks, small connections, inside/outside corners and precise detail work.
-
25 cm roll width – for larger connections, attics, parapets and transitions.
-
35 cm roll width – this variant – for roof drains, gullies, roof vents, penetrations and larger complex detail areas.
-
50 cm roll width – for larger areas and full-surface reinforcement of flat roofs, balconies and terraces.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
❓Why is the 35 cm roll width particularly suitable for roof drains and penetrations?
✅The wider fleece provides more working area around drains, fans, and other penetrations. This allows even more complex geometries to be generously integrated into the liquid waterproofing.
❓Can I also use the fleece on a partial area?
✅Yes. The 35 cm roll is well suited for partial reinforcement and larger local repair or detail areas where full-surface reinforcement is not required.
❓Is the fleece suitable for PU liquid waterproofing?
✅Yes. Polyester fleece is used as reinforcement in many PU and PMMA liquid waterproofing systems. Observe the processing instructions of the respective system manufacturer.
❓ Do I need to cut the fleece?
✅ Yes, it can easily be cut to size with scissors or a cutter.
❓ How wide should the overlap of the strips be?
✅ The required overlap depends on the sealing system used and the specific application. The manufacturer's specifications for the liquid sealant are decisive.
❓ Is the product UV-resistant?
✅ The fleece is intended for use within waterproofing systems. It should be covered in case of direct UV exposure.
❓ Can the polyester fleece be processed at low temperatures?
✅ The permissible processing temperature of the sealing system used is crucial. The fleece should only be installed within the processing temperatures specified by the system manufacturer.
❓ How should the polyester fleece be stored?
✅ Store the fleece in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and UV light. A covered, well-ventilated room is ideal. This will ensure the rolls retain their shape and can be easily processed even after prolonged storage.
❓ Is the polyester fleece easy to cut?
✅ Yes, the fleece can easily be cut to the desired length with ordinary scissors or a sharp utility knife. The material does not fray and retains its shape.
❓ How long does the polyester fleece last in a waterproofing system?
✅ The fleece is an integral part of the overall waterproofing system. When installed correctly, it supports the reinforcement and distributes stress. The actual service life depends on the waterproofing system used, the substrate, the installation process, and the level of stress.
✅ The 110 g/m² polyester fleece in a 35 cm roll width is particularly suitable for larger and geometrically complex roof details. Roof drains, gullies, vents, penetrations and larger transitions can be reinforced with it without having to use a wide sheet for such detailed areas.
